Tenacious D Announce First U.S. Tour in 5 Years

Rock/comedy duo Tenacious D will again tour the U.S. this fall.

Although the D has played some festivals and one-offs in the last few years, the shows this coming November will be the first tour for the group in five years. The band is also working on a new album, which members Jack Black and Kyle Gass say they hope to release this year as well. The band's last album was 2012's Rise of the Fenix.

Black told an audience during a show earlier this month at the Shaky Knees Musical Festival that the band is also working on a sequel to its 2006 feature film, The Pick of Destiny.

"I don't know where you'll be able to see it," he told the crowd (according to Atlanta Journal-Constitution). "But we have decided that it's happening and it's coming out."

No more details about a Pick of Destiny sequel have come out since, however. The AV Club notes that it might have just been banter between Black and the crowd.
