Anne Hathaway Roasts Herself With The Perfect Oscars Throwback Post

Anne Hathaway has no problem with the lack of host for the 91st Academy Awards and that's because the ceremony has done a lot worse in the past.

On Sunday (February 24), the Oscar winner took to Instagram to crack a joke at the host-less ceremony, but the zinger fell on Hathaway's own previous participation with Hollywood's biggest night. "No matter what happens with today’s show, just remember, it’s already been worse. Happy Oscars!" the 36-year-old actress captioned a photo of her and James Franco at the podium during their 2011 hosting gig.

As you probably remember, Hathaway and Franco's performance as hosts for the 83rd Academy Awards was panned all around. Hathaway certainly got burned by the critics, but a lot of the heat fell on Franco as many wondered what was going on with his lack of energy. "He didn’t give me anything," Hathaway said about Franco in a recent interview with PEOPLE. “God, I just remember the night before we’re about to go up there, and me turning to everyone and going, ‘Am I too much? This feels really big to me.’ And the producer just went, ‘No! Don’t do less. Do more if you need to.’ And I was like, 'Oh okay, I guess it’s going great.' And I didn’t realize what was happening about that whole thing."
